A circle, maybe a photon.
And they are predictable and boring.
I love you because you are not.

"Remember to conduct yourself in life as if at a banquet. As something being passed around comes to you, reach out your hand and take a moderate helping. Does it pass you by? Don't stop it. It hasn't yet come? Don't burn in desire for it, but wait until it arrives in front of you. Act this way with children, a spouse, toward position, with wealth - one day it will make you worthy of a banquet with the gods."

Epictetus, Enchiridion, 15

Before you take the first action, everything seems impossible. Once you take an action, you'll see that it's not impossible. You will not even care if it's hard or easy. Because once you start to take action, you realise that it's not about the destination, but it's about the journey itself. Just do it.

Your life is your life
Don’t let it be clubbed into dank submission.
Be on the watch.
There are ways out.
There is a light somewhere.
It may not be much light but
It beats the darkness.
Be on the watch.
The gods will offer you chances.
Know them.
Take them.
You can’t beat death but
You can beat death in life, sometimes.
And the more often you learn to do it,
The more light there will be.
Your life is your life.
Know it while you have it.
You are marvelous
The gods wait to delight
In you.

Charles Bukowski

Transformation doesn't take place with a vacuum; instead, it occurs when we are indirectly and directly connected to all those around us.

Byron Pulsifer

Strength comes after one's acknowledgment of their weakness.

I remember

Out of the night that covers me
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance,
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul.

William Ernest Henley

“You say I have no power? Perhaps you speak truly... But — you say that dreams have no power here? Tell me, Lucifer Morningstar... Ask yourselves, all of you... What power would hell have if those imprisoned were not able to dream of heaven?”
Dream of the Endless

I learned that the safety belts of the cars are highly protective. Another learning is that the time slows down when I face my own death. Life is temporary. Just enjoy every breath and love some stuff in this life. Love the concept of life, love our planet, love the space, love the sun. Love yourself, love good people and share the burden of survival and existence with them. I am going to die, this post will stay somewhere in the distance corners of some digital storage. So, if you are reading this: take a deep breath now and enjoy it. Today tell someone/something you love them. Share your food and resources at least once with a living being (people, animal, plans, fungi, oe a sentient robot that can reproduce).

That tells me to write this
Am I a bot?

Except some amount of energy and the space around it.

Don't fear god,
Don't worry about death;
What is good is easy to get,
What is terrible is easy to endure.

We are going to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery because whilst others might free the body, none but ourselves can free the mind.

Mind is your only ruler, sovereign. The man who is not able to develop and use his mind is bound to be the slave of the other man who uses his mind, because man is related to man under all circumstances for good or for ill.

Marcus Garvey, Sydney, Nova Scotia, 7 October 1937

I die, therefore I am.

Living a life, at least in this age, has profound similarities to walking on a tight-rope. The more balance I acquire, the easier it gets to avoid falling. Remember: Constantly search and find the right balance in everything. And keep walking.

Pain and disturbance is a necessary part of life. I need them to prepare to endure random circumstances life throws at me in the future. What I do today makes me what I am tomorrow. Any pain or comfort is temporary.

to understand or to be understood?

In order to free ourselves from the chains of our imagination, and to live an authentic life that is according to nature, we need to focus on what we want and what we need.

is an exercise of dreaming.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

Bilbo Baggins

Look round at the courses of the stars, as if you were going along with them; and constantly consider the changes of the elements into one another; for such thoughts purge away the filth of the earthly life. Marcus Aurelius, Meditations, 7.47

even to live is an act of courage.
Seneca the Younger

Differences don't. It is the cultures being outdated in today's contemporary moral standards. We know our ancestors didn't respect human and animal lives as much as we do. But those times are changing. Since the behavioral modernity started, we have come a long way to create today's international society whose moral compass has never been so high in global scale. This progress is what makes us human. We want today's protests for Eric Garner and George Floyd to make the racist cops in US think for a second before making a stupid move. And this is how we tell them, how fucked up they are in today's and tomorrow's standards. Life matters regardless of dna or philosophy.

Considering and willing. Planning and doing. Expecting and believing. Resting and living.

"Danaus the king of Argos was rich and powerful, but he had fifty daughters, and so had to pay for fifty dowries. How wealthy you are is not simply a matter of how much gold you have, but of whether you are able to satisfy your needs. The one who refuses to be satisfied with enough because there is more to acquire condemns himself to a life of poverty: his bank account is necessarily too small to supply him with the infinity of possessions he desires." Apology: A new translation of Plato's Defence of Socrates, Don Adams.

The world we live in has its own limits. The lives that we live has its own limits. In reality, things do not occur like we imagine or we wish. Because of all the external physical factors; they bring limitations and randomness. Our minds doesn't have those limits predefined in brain. Some can get quite frustrated by that.

The entire universe is built upon a set of limitations. Like c, the speed of light. According to special relativity, c is the maximum speed at which all conventional matter and hence all known forms of information in the universe can travel in space and time. What kind of ultimate reality, the ultimate truth would have such predefined constant limits? There must be something beyond. But anyway, we are stuck in this simulation. In this bubble. With some set of physical rules and limitations.

On the other hand, the universe is vast, there are almost infinite number of possibilities, particles, forces, waves... The universe is so vast (and funnily, limited at the same time), we can only observe it up to a range. But within this range, for our scale, there are infinite things to discover, to feel and to experience.

Now, think about the life you are living. Think about all the actions with the consequences that you didn't sign up for. All the external factors, limits, randomness and the possibilities. Life works like this. And we are part of it.

"If you awaken from this illusion and you understand that black implies white, self implies other, life implies death (or shall I say death implies life?), you can feel yourself not as a stranger in the world, not as something here on probation, not as something that has arrived here by fluke - but you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely fundamental.

I am not trying to sell you on this idea in the sense of converting you to it, I want you to play with it. I want you to think of its possibilities, I am not trying to prove it. I am just putting it forward as a possibility of life to think about. So then, let's suppose that you were able every night to dream any dream you wanted to dream, and that you could for example have the power within one night to dream 75 years of time, or any length of time you wanted to have.

And you would, naturally, as you began on this adventure of dreams, you would fulfill all your wishes. You would have every kind of pleasure during your sleep. And after several nights of 75 years of total pleasure each you would say "Well that was pretty great". But now let's have a surprise, let's have a dream which isn't under control, where something is gonna happen to me that I don't know what it's gonna be.

And you would dig that and would come out of that and you would say "Wow that was a close shave, wasn't it?". Then you would get more and more adventurous and you would make further- and further-out gambles what you would dream. And finally, you would dream where you are now. You would dream the dream of living the life that you are actually living today.

That would be within the infinite multiplicity of choices you would have. Of playing that you weren't god, because the whole nature of the godhead, according to this idea, is to play that he is not. So in this idea then, everybody is fundamentally the ultimate reality, not god in a politically kingly sense, but god in the sense of being the self, the deep-down basic whatever there is. And you are all that, only you are pretending you are not."

A carpet in Mezrab

Every carpet is unique as long as you don't remember all their details like shapes and colors.

It takes thousands of hours to make a carpet with the traditional/ancient methods

It takes couple of hours to make a carpet with the industrial methods.

In IKEA, every carpet is the same.

Carpets are cozy, beautiful and it's nice to step on them.

I don't feel old. Or young. The time is just passing much faster than it has always been.
